Privacy Policy for Muallim

Muallim is a product of DIGIT Pakistan, developed by teachers with love for teachers.

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Who we are

Muallim is an AI Teaching Companion for Pakistani Teachers & Schools. Three content modules are live today — Lesson Planner, Worksheet Builder, and Quiz/Assessment — alongside a school admin dashboard for managing teachers, branding, and billing, a shared templates gallery, and a referral program. Presentation Builder and Parent Communication are on the roadmap, not live yet.

Information we collect

When you request early access, start a trial, register, or contact us, we may collect your name, school or academy name, role, phone number, email address, and basic technical information when analytics are enabled. If you upgrade to a paid plan, we also collect the payment-related information you send us to confirm a transaction — such as a proof-of-payment screenshot and a transaction or reference number — since payment is currently reviewed manually rather than processed by an automated gateway. We also collect messages you send us through in-app support chat or WhatsApp, and, if you use our referral program, the email address of the person you referred, so we can confirm and reward a valid referral.

How we use information

We use information to respond to early access requests, provide onboarding, activate and manage paid plans, run the referral program, review templates submitted to the shared gallery, keep you signed in via a session cookie, support teachers and schools, and understand which features are most useful for Pakistani classrooms.

AI processing

Muallim uses Google's Gemini API to generate lesson plans, worksheets, and quizzes from the class, subject, topic, and other details you provide, and to analyze a sample document you optionally upload (for custom branding or a template request) so it can suggest a matching layout. That content is sent to Google for processing as part of generating your result. Teachers and school administrators remain responsible for reviewing, editing, approving, and using generated content in the classroom — nothing is published, printed, or sent on your behalf automatically.

Templates gallery

If you submit a sample document to request a new template, DIGIT Pakistan reviews it and may publish its layout pattern — spacing, sections, and structure, not your specific content — to a shared gallery other schools can use. A published template isn't linked back to your school or identified as coming from you. Only submit a sample you're comfortable being used this way; you can ask us not to publish a specific request by contacting us before it's reviewed.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you shared with Muallim by contacting DIGIT Pakistan at salam@muallim.org.
